Farcorfe

There has not been much summer, or much time for a holiday this year, but B & I managed to make it down to the Isle of Wight for the Cowes Festival. We had hoped to blag our way onto a boat or talk her Bro into lending us his 25ft Rib, so we could “cruise” across to the Island, but alas, neither was to be.

We did manage to blag some accomodation though from Martin, so had a prefect view of the harbour… of Yarmouth! This meant we needed a short bus ride to get to Cowes to see the actual fireworks. The trip home provide more eventful as the Yarmouth bus failed to turn up. This meant we ended up taking the night bus from hell with Lewis Hamilton’s long lost uncle cameoing as a Bus Driver, rattling hell for leather down the narrow lanes on his quest to get home before sunrise!
